With a mixture of homeware, clothing and toiletries representing our signature Scandi-Lakeland style, have a mooch around, be inspired and maybe add a little touch of the Lake District to your life.

    And watch our for our “Heaning Loves…” – limited editions of beautiful, local items that catch our eye, which we’ll stock until they run out.

    • History

      The Heaning Estate is a gorgeous collection of luxurious holiday houses and cottages. There’s nowhere comfier and more beautiful for you to lay your head on your visit to the Lake District. Built in the 1860s by the Holt family and entirely renovated to the highest of standards by current owners Deb & Gez Lyon, the estate lies in five acres of immaculate grounds, with stunning views of Lakeland mountains and valleys as far as the eye can see.

      At The Heaning Estate, we believe in going local and this flows into all aspects of our approach. Whether it’s using local builders and craftspeople, recycling traditional materials and skills, or focusing on Cumbrian suppliers and employees, we always seek to support and sustain the community around us.

      Our aim is to make our guests happy so that they come back to The Heaning Estate time and time again. We’ve built beautiful accommodation with every little detail attended to. We hope by adding the Heaning Home to our offering, guests can take a little bit of the happiness they find during their stay back home with them.
